Current Hiring Processes

Note: A complete application and supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline. Complete applications include your last 10 years of work history (ALL full-time, part-time, internship, volunteer, temporary, seasonal, contract work or military service must be included) with gaps of unemployment for 6 months or more explained. Supporting documents include: EMT certification(s); certified abstract driving record(s) for the last 10 years (or since you were licensed), to include all states in which you held a driver's license during this period; and DD-214 Member 4 copy for all military applicants. FALL 2021 Cadet -- Field Hiring Process

Application period: October 25 - November 15

Virtual Structured Oral Interviews: December 6-8 & 13-15

Background Phase: December 15 - January 7
Final Phase: January 10-27 (in Austin, TX)
8-week Academy begins: March 28, 2022

 

FALL 2021 Cadet -- Communications Hiring Process #2

Application period: October 25 - November 15

Virtual CritiCall Practice Sessions: November 10 & 16

Virtual CritiCall Testing: November 18

Virtual Structured Oral Interviews: December 7

Background Phase: December 15 - January 7
Final Phase: January 10-27 (in Austin, TX)
8-week Academy begins: March 28, 2022
